Artist Statement: The imaginative, creative and inquisitive sides of me request adventurous visual experimentation in the probing of the subject matter at hand. “I wonder what will happen if…”, is the thread that runs through my brain each time I encounter new problems and possibilities before me. I wonder with acrylic paint and oil pastel together; with watercolor, colored pencil and cut paper shapes combined, or all of these and papers enhanced through experimentation. Let me not forget the objects and materials not associated with art at all. At times, a single medium alone is the choice and technique the variant of the expression; always my mother tongue is color. I develop my paintings and collages with layers and layers of color, watching them become luminous and vibrant. It is so much fun.
